Moyo is rooted in the Congolese tradition of viewing storytelling and conversation as vital to life - Moyo means hello, but it also means life.

The story of Moyo begins in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where our founder, Mbiye Kasonga was born. There, “Moyo” is used to say hello.

Moyo exists to create thoughtful, artfully produced podcasts that are regenerative - that is, they put something into the culture rather than just extracting from it.

We view podcasting as medium for expression, growth, and learning through conversations that allow us to see ourselves and our lives more clearly. Or maybe they just make us laugh. We think that’s important too.
